Electrical Purchasing Manager

Electrical Purchasing ManagerWe are looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement and supply chain operations for electrical construction projects. This person will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing vendors, negotiating pricing, tracking deliveries, and making sure project teams have the materials they need on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Purchase electrical materials such as switchgear, conduit, transformers, wire/cable, and substation componentsWork closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Field OperationsReview drawings/specs to understand material needsNegotiate pricing, contracts, and vendor termsManage supplier and subcontractor relationshipsTrack material costs, lead times, and delivery schedulesSupport bids by gathering pricing and availabilityHelp control project costs and avoid delaysMaintain purchase orders, supplier agreements, and procurement recordsIdeal Background:5–10+ years of purchasing or procurement experienceElectrical construction, utility, industrial, or infrastructure experience preferredStrong knowledge of electrical materials and suppliersExperience negotiating with vendors and managing project deadlinesComfortable with Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systemsAble to read construction drawings and specificationsPreferred:Utility, substation, transmission, or distribution project experienceUnion construction environment experienceKnowledge of Northeast regional suppliers MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
