WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORThis position serves as the primary owner of safety, environmental compliance, social responsibility, and continuous improvement for the Site. This is a highly hands-on role requiring daily presence on the shop floor, direct engagement with employees, and the ability to balance compliance with practical, low-cost improvements.YOUR ROLEEnvironmental, Health & Safety (EHS) – Primary FocusAct as the EHS Lead for the Site.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.Responsible for all reporting requirements to the various governmental agencies (EPA, OSHA, etc.).Conduct job safety analyses (JSAs) and other safety assessments.Lead investigations for incidents, near misses, and first aid events; lead the implementation of necessary corrective actions.Daily management of the Hazardous Materials Program.Maintain all records and procedures pertaining to Hazardous Materials and their disposal.Facilitate the Site’s EHS Team.Administrate and track the EHS routines, initiatives and programs.Perform routine shop floor safety walks and audits.Maintain all EHS SOPs, work instructions, training programs, records, and required postings.Support emergency preparedness, drills, and contractor safety.Member of the Corporate EHS Team, maintaining the data requirements and monthly KPI reporting. Develop plans to meet or exceed corporate EHS objectives.Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & SustainabilitySupport basic CSR and sustainability activities appropriate for the Site.Manage environmental programs such as:Waste and recyclingChemical and SDS managementEnergy and resource awarenessSupport corporate CSR audits and data requests.Operational Excellence (OPEX) & Continuous ImprovementSupport Lean and Continuous Improvement activities with a strong safety lens.Lead Kaizen and 5S efforts on the shop floor.Identify and eliminate waste using simple Continuous Improvement tools (visual management, standard work).Track and report KPIs related to efficiency and improvements.Support problem solving using practical root cause analysisPerform other duties that might be required as directed managementYOUR BACKGROUNDAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment).2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of OSHA requirements.Experience supporting Lean or Continuous Improvement.Strong communication skills with hourly employees.Comfortable working independently with limited support resources.Strong internal and external communications and presentation skills.Requires an understanding of standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in a production environment.
