Title: Sand Blaster/Painter Department: Manufacturing # of Employees Supervised: - Location: Pelham/Pinson Reports to: Operations Foreman/Supervisor Budget $ Controlled: NA Career Band: Director Manager Supervisor Individual Contributor Hiring Range: FLSA: Exempt Salaried non-exempt Hourly Employee Type: Full-time Part-time Temp/Contract Duration = Required Experience: 1 year of industrial Experience Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of industrial experience Required Education: Relevant combination of education and experience Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent POSITION SUMMARY: The sandblasters duties would include sandblasting, keep the sandblaster cleaned out and work on all phases of the paint department as necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: What are the 5-8 major responsibilities/activities of the role and 2-3 major expectations attributed to each activity? Operate Sand Blaster Learn the safe operation of the sand blasting area Perform sand blasting in a safe and efficient manner Keep your work areas cleaned up Dispose of trash in the and the facility weather in trash receptacles or around loose. Perform required workplace and equipment pre-shift inspections Clean Up Blaster Clean out Sand Blaster to keep the operations going without delay. Do any loader work that needs done at the operation Do any other work as assigned and trained to do Do any assigned work to the best of your ability and training Perform required workplace and equipment pre-shift or post-shift inspections Tell the Foreman and Manager of safety hazards ATTRIBUTES: What are the Essential Knowledge/Skills/Abilities for this position? Will be working at times in office environment but mainly in a manufacturing environment. The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Mineral Particles. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
