Restaurant Server

The Restaurant Server is committed to delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility of the Restaurant Server is to take customer orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for all guests. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about food, enjoy interacting with people, and possess a strong work ethic.Key Responsibilities:Customer Service:Welcome and greet guests as they arrive in a friendly mannerPresent menus, make recommendations, and provide detailed information about menu itemsTake accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the point-of-sale systemServe food and beverages promptly and ensure that guests have everything they need throughout their mealAddress and resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly and courteouslyOrder Management:Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared according to guest specifications and delivered promptlyMonitor and manage the flow of orders to ensure timely serviceCheck with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and offer any additional assistance as neededCleanliness & Organization:Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including setting and clearing tablesAssist with restocking supplies, such as napkins, silverware, and condimentsEnsure all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a sanitary environmentTeam Collaboration:Communicate effectively with kitchen and management staff to provide seamless service to guestsSupport fellow team members during busy shifts, sharing responsibilities as neededSales & Promotions:Inform guests about daily specials, new menu items, and promotionsEncourage upselling of food and beverage items to enhance the dining experienceRequirementsPrevious experience as a server or in a customer service role, ideally within a restaurant settingStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team membersAbility to multitask and work effectively under pressure, especially during peak hoursBasic math skills for handling payments and making changeStrong attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer serviceMust be flexible with hours and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when neededPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays weighing up to 25 poundsAbility to move quickly between tables and the kitchen during busy periodsAbility to bend, lift, and reach to complete various tasksAdditional Notes:A positive attitude and a strong team spirit are essential for success in this roleWillingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and menu items is necessary
