The focus areas include statistics, machine learning, and optimization. The position is expected to start as early as Fall 2019.The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling. They will also conduct scholarly research leading to publications in top peer-reviewed journals and actively participate in university and scholarly community service.Qualifications: PhD in management science / operations research, statistics, industrial engineering, computer science, or related interdisciplinary field by the date of appointment. ABD candidates will be considered but must complete all degree requirements by the appointment date. Demonstrated potential for outstanding scholarly research.
