Title: Education & Employment Case Manager FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt Salary: $46,200/year Reports To: Assistant Director of Community Programs Ignite stands with youth on their journey to a home and a future with promise. We are a leading non-profit, human services organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for youth, ages 10-26. Today, we have more than 63 full-time and part-time staff as well as over 100 volunteers who contribute to our mission - operating with a $6M+ annual budget, poised for growth. Through housing, education, employment, career planning, financial empowerment, mental health support, and community connection, we enroll more than 800 youth per year, on the path to reaching their full potential. Ignite intends to be the last program our youth will ever need, but the family and place they can always call home. As a 2025 Chicago Innovation Award winner, Ignite is leading the way in creating new housing and service models that help youth put homelessness behind them for good. Education & Employment Case Manager, Drop-In Services - Full-Time Essential Function: Provide education and employment support to youth at the Drop-In Resource Center (DiRC), with a focus on rapid engagement in jobs, training, and education. Combine case management with live application and assessment sessions to help youth build sustainable income and education pathways. Availability: This role requires availability M-F, 9am to 5pm, however, must be flexible with scheduling to meet the needs of the clients and agency commitments (including but not limited to shift coverage, trainings, and meetings) Some weekend and/or evening hours may be required. Key Responsibilities Education & Employment Navigation Conduct assessments to identify skills, interests, and barriers. Develop individualized action plans for employment and education. Facilitate live application sessions for jobs, training, GED programs, college enrollment, and certifications. Assist with applications, financial aid, school enrollment, and documentation Track outcomes: applications, interviews, placements, and education progress. Case Management Provide personal centered support addressing housing, employment, education, life skills, and wellness. Coach youth on workplace expectations and problem-solving. Maintain accurate documentation in HMIS, Salesforce, and required systems. Program Implementation & DiRC Engagement Running workshops: job readiness, resume labs, interview prep, academic support. Supervise youth in DiRC, ensuring a structured, safe, and productive environment. Coordinate programming calendar and collaborate with volunteers/interns. Collaboration & Outreach Work with case managers and outreach staff to align stabilization, employment, and education plans. Represent the program to community partners and workforce providers.
