Network Implementation Engineer with strong Cisco Meraki, ESXi, Azure Virtual Networking and DHCP - REMOTE Role with some travel

Job Title: Network Server Implementation EngineerLocation: REMOTE with some travelEmployment Type: Long Term Contract Experience: 5+ years minimumMinimum technologies required: Set up and maintain cloud networking solutions using Azure VNETs and Azure VPN gatewaysConfigure and manage routers, switches, access points, and VLAN segmentation, with a primary focus on Cisco MerakiWhat You’ll DoThe Site Implementation Engineer will work alongside Field Service Technicians and coordinate with our Lead Field Services Technicians to provide on-site support for our clients, ensuring seamless implementation and configuration of network and server infrastructure. This role requires strong project leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to support on-site teams effectively.In this role, the Site Implementation Engineer has the following responsibilities:Project Leadership:Lead complex technical projects, coordinating with both on-site technicians and remote teamsOrganize and communicate project plans, updates, and issues effectivelyFunction as central point of contact to communicate updates and progress to key stakeholdersKey Technical Skills:Configure and manage routers, switches, access points, and VLAN segmentation; Cisco Meraki expertise requiredManage and configure Azure virtual networking (VNETs, VPNs, Peering, etc.)Experience with Zscaler or other cloud security solutions is a strong plusAssist with setup and configuration of network environments, remote access solutions, and cloud integration services with oversight from the Hybrid Infrastructure and Cloud Solutions teamsManage virtualized server hosts; ESXi experience preferredAssist with setup and configuration of virtualized servers, remote desktop services, centralized DHCP, and AD management with oversight from Hybrid Infrastructure teamMinimal involvement in workstation and server deployments but may assist with volume under the guidance of other technical teamsDocumentation and Post-Implementation Testing:Inventory and prepare network equipment for cutoversConfigure and test network components (routers, switches, APs)Reconfigure and test workstations, servers, and peripheralsPerform functional and validation testing of all reconfigured devicesSupport and Troubleshooting:Provide Tier 2/3 level help desk support during HyperCare (post cutover support)Perform technical troubleshooting and remote support using tools like KaseyaGeneral Requirements:Flexible working hours, including nights and weekendsTravel requirements: nice to have not required for this roleCertification in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware, Cisco, Aruba) is preferredExcellent communication skills Who You AreYou have proven experience in leading complex technical projectsYou have strong organizational and communication skillsYou have expertise in virtualized server host managementYou are proficient in configuring and managing network equipmentYou have skills in setting up and configuring virtualized servers and remote desktop servicesYou have experience with system setup, data backup, and recovery processesYou can quickly adapt to unique hardware challengesYou are detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skillsYou are comfortable interacting and presenting in front of customersYou are able to build strong relationships and mentor colleaguesYou are able to manage your travel plans independently (hotel, airfare, rental car, etc.)You are willing to frequently work nights and weekends to facilitate site cutoversYou are flexible to support short notice schedule changes and scheduling complexities Network Administration:Configure and manage routers, switches, access points, and VLAN segmentation, with a primary focus on Cisco MerakiImplement and manage cloud networking solutions, specifically Azure VNETs, VPN configurations, and inter-VNET peeringExperience with security solutions like Zscaler, with expertise in managing secure cloud-based web filtering and application monitoringConfigure and enforce firewall rules to ensure network security across hybrid environmentsCloud Network and Security:Set up and maintain cloud networking solutions using Azure VNETs and Azure VPN gatewaysWork with Zscaler to deploy cloud security solutions, enhance web filtering, and ensure secure access for remote workersExperience in integrating network solutions into cloud environments to enable secure access across platformsSystem Setup and Support:Collaborate with the Hybrid Infrastructure/Cloud Infrastructure teams for cloud-based configurations, including Azure and Meraki setupsProvide Tier 2/3 level support for network and cloud infrastructure during HyperCare phasesTroubleshoot networking issues post-cutover, ensuring cloud and on-premises network integrationThanks & Best RegardsPiyush Sharma | Recruitment eMail: Psharma@ishift.net | www.ishift.com7014 East Camelback Road, Suite 1452Scottsdale, Arizona 85251
