Over the Road Driver - CDL Class A

Position SummarySouth Mill is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL-A Driver to transport company products across long-distance routes. This position may operate as a solo or team driver and plays a critical role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.Drivers are compensated for all actual miles driven unless otherwise designated as a flat-rate assignment.Position DetailsRoute: Kennett Square, PA to Atlanta, GA or Kansas City, MO.Position Type: Full-Time.Compensation: CPM based on experience. Key Responsibilities Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulationsSafely operate a Class A commercial vehicle over long distancesHook and unhook trailers, secure loads, and back into dock areas safelyMaintain communication with dispatch and provide trip status updatesComplete all delivery documentation accurately and timelyComply with FMCSA, DOT, and company safety standardsAttend quarterly safety meetings and required training sessionsMaintain professional interactions with customers, dispatch, and team membersLift and handle product when required (up to 50 lbs.)Perform additional duties as assigned Required QualificationsValid CDL Class A licenseMinimum one (1) year of verifiable tractor-trailer experienceClean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)Valid DOT medical certificationKnowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulationsAbility to read, write, and communicate in English (DOT requirement)Ability to work independently and in a team-driving environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.
