Primary Job Title: Senior AWS EngineerLocation: Owings Mills, MDOnsite Flexibility: HybridContract Details:Position Type: ContractContract Duration: 6 monthsStart: ASAPWork Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job Summary: The main function of a Software Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancement of existing systems.Key Responsibilities: Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projectsGather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and dataAnalyze and review enhancement requests and specificationsImplement system software and customize to client requirementsPrepare the detailed software specifications and test plansCode new programs to client's specifications and create test data for testingModify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programsCreate migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementationProvide quality assurance reviewsPerform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testingProvide technical leadership, guidance, and informal mentoring to other engineersOperate independently to deliver cloud solutions with minimal oversightRequired Skills: Strong knowledge of various AWS resources (primarily creating lambdas, AWS Step Functions, working with DynamoDB and ability to navigate AWS CLI/console)Node JS experience (Typescript required) (Backend)Java experienceMiddleware knowledgeHTML/CSS and JS experienceGitLab and Gitlab CIPreferred Skills: AEM KnowledgeEducation Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field requiredRequired Experience: At least 8 years experience requiredA solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software designLarge systems software design and development experienceExperience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systemsExperience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolutionAbout GTT: GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
