May oversee the work of others.Education: High School diploma or equivalent.Experience: One year of related experience which may include the cultivation and/or care of flowers, plants, shrubs, trees, turf, landscaping, building maintenance and/or general labor.License & Certification: Must have a valid driver's license. Must have or obtain a flagger's certification card within six months of employment per requirements of the Maryland State Highway Administration.Essential Functions: Examples of duties may include but are not limited to: Perform a variety of manual labor actions including shoveling, raking, sweeping, brush cutting, excavating, trash collection, and hauling of materials; Landscaping and gardening to include weeding, planting (grass, flowers, trees, etc.), mulching, pruning of trees and shrubs, mowing, and trimming; Light carpentry, painting of structures and equipment, housekeeping of structures and grounds; Assists with the maintenance, repairs and installation in the areas of asphalt paving, concrete projects, storm drains, catch basins and bridges; Other duties as assigned.
