Associate Attorney

Job Description Oakland-based general litigation law firm is seeking a trustworthy, honest, and hard working Associate Attorney with CA Bar. Wong & Jiang LLP is a boutique law firm providing legal representation to SF Bay Area communities (primarily to the Chinese-American community) for over 45 years in a wide range of practice areas from personal injury, civil disputes, family law, landlord-tenant, estate planning, criminal defense to business and real estate litigation. Our ideal candidate would have excellent research and writing skills, effective oral advocacy skills, and an aptitude for litigation. Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese or both) is preferred. Candidates MUST be licensed to practice in California. And for a More Specific Job Description: Draft Pleadings such as Petitions, Objections, and Motions Communicate with Clients regarding Case Status & Questions Assist with Discovery and Depositions Court Appearances via Zoom and In Person Strategize with lead attorney to resolve complex issues Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required. Excellent research and writing skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Aptitude for litigation Experience with court pleadings and appearances. 2+ Years experience strongly preferred.
