You will motivate and provide leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently and on time. We strive to integrate EHS & Sustainability considerations into all our business decisions, plans, and operations.ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Motivating and leading team membersCoordinating employees, including scheduling, hiring and exitingEnsuring day-to-day operations are completedMonitoring the effective and efficient daily operations of the Traffic departmentCommunicating internally and externally by phone and emailMaintaining files, documents, paperwork and data entryManaging budgets and performance metricsComplying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectationsParticipating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectivesLearning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainingsOperate a Fastenal vehicle and run truck routes, Non-CDL and/or CDL, as neededRequired Position QualificationsThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as neededPossess relevant work experienceProficient written and oral communication skillsProficient using Microsoft Office SuiteLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesHighly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedDemonstrate a strong aptitude and passion for leadership, employee development, operations management and logistics managementWillingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as neededDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkLift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbsPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)Preferred Position QualificationsPossess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver's LicensePrior experience operating a forkliftPossess prior leadership or management work experienceAbout UsSince 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
