Financial Analyst

Key ResponsibilitiesConsolidate and analyze financial data (budget, forecast, actual)Support with preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and presentationsSupport preparation of budgets and forecasts of monthly, quarterly and yearlyProvide variance analysis on a monthly / quarterly basis in accordance with head office deadlinesReview operational statistics and report KPIs in accordance with pre-set timelinesProvide financial and operational analysis and value-added decision support to businessProvide financial expertise in the development of business cases to support new initiatives and/or enhancements to current processes in addition to providing post implementation analysis of new businessIdentify trends, facilitate benchmarking and report on the outliersProvide ad hoc financial planning and analysis; develop new reports, run models, and ongoing evaluation of projectsObserve and document data management processes. Plan process improvements and translate these into system change requirements.Provide and assist in implementing creative solutions that fill the gaps in the out-of-the-box reporting capabilitiesReview post implementation analysis on new business initiativesMaintain highest integrity with regard to the Company's policiesKnowledge, Skills And CompetenciesBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a similar discipline3-5 years of relevant experience in business analysis and financial planningAbility to work with Sales and Operations leaders to review results, budget/forecast and implement policy/procedure changesStrong attention to detail, and ability to flow through financial transactionsAble to support tight schedules and provide timely analysisAnalytical mindset including the ability to define solutions to abstract problems, test solutions, and apply critical thinkingMust possess a desire to effect change and make a difference in the organizationAble to navigate through and decipher large multi-source datasets, model out the unknown and incorporate the results in budgeting and forecastingIntermediate Excel skills (XLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, Pivot tables) requiredFamiliarity with Cognos and/or Power BI is a plusOffice environment, some occasional travel may be required from time to time at various company locationsSome periodic overtime is expected during busy seasonsWe thank you for your interest.
