Medical Scribe

Pay: $17/hour Schedule: 2–3 days per week Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM In-person position only Overview We are seeking a part-time Medical Scribe to support the provider by accurately documenting patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR). This role is ideal for individuals who have graduated or are taking a gap year and are pursuing a future career in medicine or healthcare. Due to the fast-paced nature of clinical documentation, strong typing skills and computer proficiency are essential. Key Responsibilities Prepare and assemble medical record documentation for the provider Accompany the provider during patient visits to accurately capture and transcribe clinical documentation in the EMR Update patient histories, physical exams, assessments, and other relevant clinical information Ensure documentation compliance, including proper scribe attestation (scribe name, title, provider name, date, and time) Route completed documentation to the provider for review and authentication per clinic procedures Monitor basic lab results and screening documentation as directed Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies Perform additional clerical and administrative tasks to support clinic workflow and provider efficiency Required Qualifications Proficiency with basic computer tasks and software applications Typing speed of 60+ words per minute strongly recommended due to real-time charting requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to observe clinical encounters and document clearly, concisely, and grammatically correctly Ability to proofread, edit, and spell accurately Professional demeanor and ability to interact appropriately with providers, staff, and patients Understanding of and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week Application Question(s): Are you able to work 2-3 days a week?
