Human Resources (HR) /Staffing Coordinator
Tower Lodge Care Center - Tower Lodge Healthcare and Rehabilitation located in Wall Township, NJ is looking for a reliable Human Resource Director/Staffing Coordinator to facilitate company culture, values, and policies as well as monitor and maintain HR compliance for new hires and existing staff. The HR Director/Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and processing payroll, recruiting, interviewing,hiring new staff for all departments and Prepare "Monthly" schedules for Nursing staff.Job Responsibility:· Ensures that personnel are available for employment by maintaining personnel files, applications, references, resumes, etc.· Interview and hire personnel as directed.· Establishes employment files for individuals hired by department heads.· Set up interviews as requested by department heads.· Arranges for initial orientation and employment physicals as dictated by policy.· Communicate with Union representatives, Unemployment Office, facility committees and department heads as needed and/or directed.· Check applications and references of prospective employees and verify certifications and licenses as needed.· Works in conjunction with the In-service Director in setting up orientation.· Ensure that all appropriate and required information is obtained on all new employees and filed appropriately.· Ensure that all licenses and certifications are maintained and current.· Maintain a readily available list of all nursing licenses and nursing assistants' certifications.· Assist in the development of personnel policies.· Ensure that the facility has sufficient, trained, quality personnel available.· Perform administrative requirements, such as, completing forms, reports, etc. and submitting them to the proper individual(s).· Maintain a good employee relations program.· Complete reference requests as appropriate and in accordance with regulations.· Serve on committees as directed by Administrator.· Participate in overall quality assessment and improvement.· Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as requested.Staffing DutiesPrepare "monthly" schedules for all nursing departments – schedule to be posted at 4 week intervals and 2 weeks prior to the expiration of the current scheduleo Maintain a list of open positionso Prepare daily sign in sheets at least one week in advanceo Monitor daily staffing per PPD and census utilizing the staffing grido Grants overtime when necessaryo Responds to staff requests for benefit days offo Receives, records and replaces staff as call-outs occuro Prepare Daily Staffing Rostero Maintain attendance records of nursing staffo Perform Orientation for Nursing personnelo Provide new hires a schedule on first day of orientationo Initiate Employee Health requirements (TB and HBV)o Communicate effectively with staffo Report to DON/designee daily of staffing patterns and/ or open positionso Maintain accurate phone list of nursing personnelo Check ADL books for completiono Monitor shower rooms for shower sheetso Maintain and update Daily Care Guideso Handle all staffing calls while on duty M-Fo Ability to function as a Role Modelo Attends in-service and educational programso Attends continuing education required for maintenance of professional certificationo Maintains confidentialityo Ability to communicate in English via phone, in writing and verbally in conversation with different levels of staff, resident families and any outside customers.o Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization.o Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work.o Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned.o Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts.o Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization.o Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success.o Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions, and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.oo Any other duties as assignedQualificationsPrefer current certification as Nurse Aide in the applicable state.High School Graduate or equivalent, with 1 year of staffing experienceAbility to read, write and speak the English languageBasic knowledge of computerQualifications:Any combination of experience, knowledge, skills and abilities appropriate for the job.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance#OCEAN2024
