Make Ready Lead Designer

*Job Overview* As a Make Ready Designer, you will be responsible for designing and planning the make ready process for new or existing telecommunications infrastructure. This includes analyzing existing utility poles, conduits, and other structures to ensure they are capable of supporting new equipment and cables. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and local authorities to ensure that all design plans adhere to regulations and best practices *Role and Responsibilities* - Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the feasibility of make ready designs - Lead and manage a team of field designers to ensure that projects are completed successfully - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide recommendations for improvements - Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements for new equipment installations - Develop detailed design plans including drawings, specifications, and bill of materials - Work closely with external vendors to source materials and equipment needed for make ready projects - Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for make ready work - Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and standards related to make-ready design - Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines - Travel as needed to territories of responsibility. - Maintain spreadsheets detailing all work on hand. - Submit regular client billing. *Qualifications* - Associates degree in Engineering or related field - At least 2 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or design - Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software - Knowledge of JUMS, JETS and DISTVIEW is a plus - Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and regulations - Strong communication and project management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong problem-solving skills.
