Applications Engineer

Expected compensation: 86.91 USD Per HourHireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find an Applications Engineer to support the customization, maintenance, and advancement of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) apps.In this role, you’ll partner with automotive and IT infrastructure engineers to manage features, upgrades, migrations, and integrations. You’ll also develop dashboards and reports, support custom integrations using Java and Python, monitor application performance, and serve as an escalation point for application-related issues.The ideal candidate is proficient in Java, JavaScript, Velocity, and Python and has experience using Polarion within a regulated industry. You are willing to learn new technologies and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.As a Applications Engineer, You'llWork with stakeholders on features, upgrades, migrations, and integrations. Monitor application performance via established practices and methods. Manage workflows, change management, approvals and signoff, and in-application configurations to meet stakeholder needs. Evaluate new tools and services with the Development team and support custom integrations using Java and Python. Update template/project configurations, workflows, and work item metadata. Developing dashboards and live reports that support engineering and management needs using Velocity and Javascript. Act as an escalation point for the Client Services team (helpdesk). RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldDevelopment experience in Java, JavaScript, Velocity and PythonExperience using Polarion within a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, financial, automotive, etc) is preferred.
