Senior Finance Analyst
The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is building the future of sustainable lumber with next-generation sawmill technology. We design and operate state-of-the-art modular sawmills that produce high-grade dimensional wood products with greater efficiency and less waste. Backed by leading investors including Cantos, Slow Ventures, Susa Ventures, Banter Capital, Humba Ventures, and Ravelin Capital.We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Senior Finance Analyst to support financial planning, labor and production forecasting, and operational performance reporting within a manufacturing environment. This role will be instrumental in building and improving FP&A infrastructure, partnering closely with mill and operations leadership, and providing financial insights that drive productivity, cost control, and profitable growth. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling skills with a practical understanding of manufacturing drivers such as labor utilization, throughput, capacity, and production volumes.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Volume ForecastingLead production volume forecasting including scenario and sensitivity analysisDevelop and maintain labor‑to‑production forecasting models aligned with capacity plansProvide mill‑level insights on capacity utilization and operational constraintsFiber & Supply Planning FinanceBuild out sales funnel analytics to align fiber supply with production demandManage tract delivered tons reconciliationSupport raw material usage and yield analysisInventory & Mill Financial ManagementManage inventory planning and financial tracking for MM1 and future SE region millsManage mill deployment budgetsTrack material usage impacts on cost performanceMill Performance AnalyticsAnalyze mill KPIs and operational metrics to support day‑to‑day decision makingSupport cost improvement initiatives at the mill levelManage contractors, vendor database, and software / other licensesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field2-3 years’ experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or operational financeStrong financial modeling and analytical capabilitiesExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting processesAbility to partner effectively with cross-functional and operations stakeholdersDetail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skillsPreferredExperience in manufacturing or logistics environmentsExposure to ERP systems, production reporting tools, or BI / planning platformsThe expected starting annual base salary for this position is $105,000.
