Other essential duties may be assigned consistent with the general scope of the position. Employee must comply with all County and department policies, procedures, WAC's, or other regulatory bodies.Incoming Mail Processing: The position's duties include: Picking up incoming County mail; sorting mail for each office or designated individual; arranging mail for orderly pickup by departments.Outgoing Mail Processing: Outgoing mail is sorted by department or zip code, metered, segregated and delivered to the Post Office for delivery. This individual operates mailroom equipment, determines correct amounts of postage, records and reports on postage expense. Packages to be carried by courier services are prepared, properly labeled, weighed and made available to package delivery couriers.Mailroom Vehicle Responsibilities: Position requires the re-fueling and, as necessary, cleaning of the mailroom car at the County's Public Works Department.Computer: Perform updates to Department documents, scanning, and other light computer operation.General: Perform general office assistance as requested during "slow times," which may include but not be limited to, posting of holiday Courthouse closings, assisting with County Employee Bulletin Board, filing, etc.Support to Other Departments: Perform general office assistance as requested to assist other departments to cover absence or to assist in special circumstances.Education, Experience, and LicensingTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Employee may be exposed to office supply odors or vapors.
