Purchasing Associate

Job Description Purchasing AssociateWe're looking for a highly organized Purchasing Associate to support daily procurement operations and keep our supply chain running smoothly. In this role, you'll process purchase orders, track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and communicate directly with vendors to resolve issues and maintain accurate records.ResponsibilitiesCreate and submit purchase orders with accurate pricing and termsCoordinate inbound/outbound shipments and work with freight forwarders on international ordersTrack all open POs and provide delivery updates to internal teamsMonitor inventory levels and update product specs, pricing, and supplier data in our systemCommunicate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and delivery schedulesResolve issues like damaged goods, incorrect quantities, or pricing discrepanciesMaintain freight bills and shipping documents linked to the correct POsServe as point of contact for vendor updates and order status inquiriesQualifications1–3 years of purchasing, logistics, or administrative experienceHigh School Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's a plusProficient in Excel, Outlook, and familiar with ERP or inventory systemsStrong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow established processesAdditional DetailsFull-time, in-person roleOccasional travel may be requiredFamiliarity with power tool accessories, threading, and hand tool product lines is helpfulCompany DescriptionSnelling Staffing Services is a locally managed branch of a nationally recognized staffing firm that's been connecting talented workers with leading employers since 1951.
