In 2025, Roofstock took an ownership stake in Casago (short-term rental management services), expanding our platform to support both long-term and short-term rental investment services.About The RoleYou will be joining a small but mighty design team, with the opportunity to have real impact not only in your product area, but within the broader Design Team as well. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience for both our web and mobile apps. You’ll do this with the full support of our experienced product managers, data analysts, engineers, and of course the rest of the design team. You should be excited to move quickly and make a broad, meaningful mark on the evolution of our product suite and customer experience. This role will focus on investor experience across Roofstock brands paying particular attention to mobile applications.ResponsibilitiesPartner with your peers across product, marketing, and engineering to design digital experiences and UI components that are engaging and delightfulUse research, analytics, and user feedback to gain a deep understanding of user needs and improve the experience for everyone using our platform and appsConduct usability testing and user research with internal operators, investors, residents, and applicants to iterate and refine designsWork in Figma to design and prototype features, flows, and net-new products and servicesDevelop high-fidelity visual designs, including UI components, iconography, and other visual elementsAdvocate for great UX, inspiring your teams with a strong point of view about what’s possible and aspirational for your product areas as well as Roofstock as a wholeLeverage and contribute to our Design System to ensure consistency across platforms and touchpointsStay in close communication with Product Managers, Engineers and business partners to ensure all features are implemented to specifications and iterate accordinglyParticipate in internal design critiques and present your work to stakeholders at all levelsStay up to date on the latest design trends, tools, and best practices within the B2C product spaceQualificationsProven experience as a Product Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing consumer-facing applications, including native mobile experience ( 6+ years of experience)Mastery of Figma, including using and contributing to design systems Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions to teammates and stakeholders at all levelsStrong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, particularly for a mobile audienceSkilled in strategic partnership with the ability to help identify opportunities, refine problems and solutions, and help the team deliver great customer experiencesFamiliarity with front end software development languages and practicesPast experience with real estate technology is a plusNice To HavesInterest or experience in motion design and illustrationExperience using Jira and Notion to manage productsCompensation$166,750 - $197,800 on annual base salary. The compensation range may be adjusted based on experience and location.Pay TransparencyOur compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors.
