This position will be responsible for managing the fabrication shop labor force in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. This includes training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work to ensure that production schedules are met. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, photocopiers, shredders, and filing cabinets. This position may occasionally require the operation of farm/heavy equipment. The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderate to high noise levels. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use manual dexterity to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools, and controls and reach with hands and arms. This individual is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and lift up to 25 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.Safety RequirementsEmployee is required to understand proper safety procedures before operating any equipment. Employee may be required to be certified to use equipment. Employee may be required to wear appropriate OSHA safety gearPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Required Education And ExperienceFive plus years of experience in welding/fabrication industry, including experience with sawing, cutting, welding of all types and forming. Three years of supervisory experience.Preferred Education And ExperienceTen plus years of experience in welding/fabrication industry. In-depth industry and job-specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training. Bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing field.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
