Project Engineer- Land Development

Job Description Description:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and execution of land and site development projects across Georgia. This role will work closely with Project Managers and Senior Engineers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in civil site design, experience navigating Georgia permitting requirements, and is either a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or actively working toward licensure within six months.Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & DesignPrepare and support the design of site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management systemsDevelop engineering plans, calculations, reports, and specificationsUtilize Civil 3D and related tools to produce site layouts, profiles, and construction documentsEnsure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirementsProject SupportAssist Project Managers with project coordination, scheduling, and deliverablesSupport preparation of cost estimates, scopes, and project documentationCoordinate with internal teams and external consultants (surveyors, geotechnical, environmental, etc.)Participate in design reviews and quality assurance/quality control processesPermitting & Regulatory CoordinationAssist with permit applications and approvals across Georgia municipalities and countiesSupport erosion control, land disturbance (LDP), and NPDES permitting submittalsConstruction SupportProvide support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and assisting with field inspectionsCoordinate with contractors and clients to address design-related issuesSupport project closeout documentatioRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field3–7 years of experience in land and site development engineeringEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification strongly preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred xhyhwjd or ability to obtain within 6 monthsExperience with grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater designFamiliarity with Georgia permitting processes (EPD, local jurisdictions, erosion control)Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3DThe things about us you will appreciate!Our comprehensive benefit package includes the following:• Three medical plan options• Dental & vision plans• Company-paid group life, short and long-term disability insurance• Voluntary Life Insurance• Flexible and Dependent care spending accounts• Additional Supplemental plans (Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Accident)• 401(k) with company match• Paid Time Off (PTO), which starts accruing upon hire LI-WL1
