Grounds Keeper

Job Summary: The Grounds Keeper is responsible for overseeing the general upkeep of the building, grounds, and its infrastructure.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee general upkeep of building, grounds, and infrastructure. Maintain building operations to ensure safety and functionality. Perform basic, routine, and emergency repairs. Install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. Assist with miscellaneous facility projects (painting, drywall, carpentry, fixture installation, furniture/materials moving). Maintain grounds (pest control, landscaping, lawn care, and tree trimming). Housekeeping/janitorial upkeep (sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, trash removal) Work in a safe manner. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong attention to detail Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, waste management systems, carpentry, and groundskeeping. Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked. Experience using hand and electrical tools. Ability to read technical manuals and drawings. Good communication and interpersonal skills 1-3 years of general work experience. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Experience in a manufacturing environment Physical Job Requirements: Stand for long periods of time, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or balance Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 100 lbs. Work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Ability to work in an environment exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
