Position Overview
Elevate Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a high-visibility Department of Defense cloud modernization program. This role will focus on maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, supporting ServiceNow platform operations, and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
The ideal candidate has strong AWS infrastructure experience, Terraform expertise, Git-based development workflows, and CI/CD automation experience within secure production environments.
This position requires candidates to reside within 50 miles of Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA) or Gunter AFB (Montgomery, AL) and possess an active Secret Clearance with eligibility for SIPR access.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Build, manage, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure deployments.
Manage cloud resources including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
Support GitLab-based source control, branching strategies, and code reviews.
Administer Linux-based environments and troubleshoot system-level issues.
Implement security hardening and maintain STIG-compliant configurations.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.
Provide operational support for ServiceNow platform infrastructure and environments.
Troubleshoot production issues across cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and applications.
Identify opportunities to improve automation, operational efficiency, and platform reliability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of professional IT experience
Active Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain SIPR access
DoD IAT Level II Certification
At least one current cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or equivalent)
