Job Title: Loan Closer IILocation: Austin, TX (78758)Hire Model: Direct HireWork Model: Fully On-siteSalary: $52,000 - $58,000/year + 10% Annual BonusJob DescriptionA client of Insight Global is seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer II who is responsible for all closing packages. They must comply with Federal, State, Investor, Secondary, and company guideline and regulations.Reviews loan approval, rate lock, appraisal, title work, insurance, flood certificate, survey, and payoffs for validityFast-paced closing environment - needs to be adaptable and organizedVerifies county recording feesReconciles source documents to data contained within LOSPrepares closing disclosures for management and borrower reviewSends and track specific documents electronically to borrowers based on TRID timing rulesCommunicates with the borrower and or Closing Agent to set expectations for closing and confirm important detailsCoordinates closing date and time with all applicable partiesOrders closing packages from doc prep attorneys specific to loan typeReviews documents for accuracyBalances Closing Disclosure (CD) with the title company and issue approvalDelivers closing documents to title company via secure methodsEnsures all closing and funding conditions are satisfiedReviews executed documents for completeness and accuracyRequests and prepare wiresIssues funding authorizationMaintains real time loan status within LOSCommunicates details with borrowers, title companies, vendors, and internal staff throughout the processAssists with investor conditions and post-closing functionsEnsures customer privacy, security of files, and appropriate staff accessAssists Closing Manager in identifying process improvement needs and providing support to the training team to develop any necessary training required for such improvement (s).Mentors individual closers for questions and/or assistance they may require for loans, systems, or process-related items. Assists with escalations, priority requests, and staging needs.Trains new ClosersFunctions as a team leadPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills & Experience3 years of direct mortgage loan closing experience Proficient with Encompass, or similar loan operating system, and running a desktop underwriting program Strong attention to detail and possess good math skills Excellent communication skills; must be professional, courteous, and confident Strong working knowledge of FNMA, FHA, VA, DPA, USDA guidelines Thorough understanding of mortgage terminology like DTI, LTV, and PITI Understanding of real estate lending practices including federal and state regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining outstanding customer serviceTeam Player with effective time management and organizational skillsNice to Have Skills & ExperienceBilingual (Spanish/English)Notary commission by the states of Texas and OklahomaCompensation:$52,000 - $58,000/yearExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Healthcare benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, financial protection benefits, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options. 401k retirement account access is offered starting on the 90th day with employer matching after one year of service.
