Corporate Controller

ControllerOur client located in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a hands-on Corporate Controller to lead and scale the accounting function. This role will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and core accounting operations while serving as a key business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team. This is an onsite, direct hire opportunity.Company Profile:MedicalTechnologyController Role:Own and lead the full accounting function, including monthly close (target ~7 business days), financial reporting, and GAAP complianceOversee NetSuite ERP to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and reporting capabilitiesManage core accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll (~60 employees), fixed assets, and general ledgerReview and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and team deliverables (Accounting Manager + Staff)Deliver weekly sales reporting, manage cash flow, and support commission calculationsPartner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and sales on inventory, cost accounting, and business performanceEnsure compliance with ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 842 (leases), and sales tax requirementsEstablish and maintain internal controls appropriate for a growing, non-SOX environmentAct as primary point of contact for audits, tax partners, and external advisorsPartner directly with the CEO to translate financials into insights, guide decisions, and present risk-based optionsSupport budgeting, forecasting, insurance renewals, and broader strategic initiativesMaintain a hands-on presence across both day-to-day accounting and ad hoc projectsController Background Profile:ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA and/or MBA preferred but not required8–10+ years of progressive accounting experiencePrior Controller experience or strong Accounting Manager ready to step upBackground in manufacturing, inventory, or product-based environments preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systemsProven ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced, and less structured environmentExperience partnering with executive leadership, ideally in an entrepreneurial or founder-led companyDemonstrated ability to balance technical accounting with business decision supportFeatures and Benefits:4 weeks PTOMedical (PPO & HSA), dental, and vision coverage401(k) with 3% match (immediate eligibility, vesting applies)Additional voluntary benefits including disability, pet insurance, and EAP
