About the CompanyWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong Workday expertise to support enterprise-wide reconciliation efforts for a large public sector organization. This role will play a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and driving consistency in reconciliation processes across multiple departments.About the RoleThis is a high-impact opportunity to support a large-scale financial operation, helping improve processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive consistency across a complex organization.ResponsibilitiesLead and support agency-wide account reconciliation efforts using the Workday Financial Management systemPerform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepanciesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize reconciliation processes and improve accuracyProvide hands-on guidance and training to internal teams on performing reconciliations within WorkdayAssist in developing documentation, templates, and best practices for ongoing reconciliation activitiesSupport month-end and year-end close processes as neededEnsure compliance with government accounting standards and internal policies QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the public sector or government environmentStrong hands-on experience with Workday Financials, specifically account reconciliationsSolid understanding of government accounting principlesExperience working across multiple departments or business unitsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with Workday Financials, specifically account reconciliationsSolid understanding of government accounting principlesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred SkillsCPA or CPA candidateExperience supporting large-scale financial system implementations or transformationsPrior experience training or mentoring accounting teamsFamiliarity with internal controls and audit readinessEqual Opportunity StatementWe are committed to diversity and inclusivity in our hiring practices.
