IT Business Intelligence Intern

The ideal candidate will have and understanding of modern BI solutions. They will possess knowledge of ETL/ELT development, data warehouses, and visualization development. They will also have the ability and willingness to gather business requirements and complete development of reports and/or dashboards that provide business insights.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the development and maintenance of IEWC’s Enterprise Data strategy to provide IEWC with a scalable, best-in-class BI stack.Use business intelligence and visualization software to deliver data solutions that empower internal and external customers with self-service analytics and reporting solutionsPerforms analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolutionHelp maintain scalable data pipelines that support continuing increases in data volume and complexityHelp maintains multi-source, complex data sets that support functional business requirementsQualificationsCurrently working towards working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, computer science, computer engineering, information management/systems, business analytics Experience applying basic statistical methods to difficult business problemsKnowledge of or experience with data modeling using SQLExperience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, Excel)Excellent verbal/written communication skills and data presentation skillsStrong analytical skillsThe above represents the essential job functions that you are assigned to perform in your job.
