Assigned classes and clinicals may occur during the day or evening with varying teaching locations. This position reports to LSCPA's Allied Health Department.Duties/ResponsibilitiesProvide quality instructionExhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectivesAttend faculty meetingsMaintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trendsRespond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional mannerOccasional travel to various campuses and healthcare facilitiesComply with campus policies and proceduresOther related duties, as assignedMinimum/Preferred QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Master of Science degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or Bachelor of Science degree with Master's degree in related field and a minimum of six semester hours of graduate level content in nursingRegistered Nurse and registered to practice in the State of TexasMust be currently employed in nursing or nursing education for the previous three yearsExperienced in clinical nursing practice and able to assist students in a clinical settingPreferred Qualifications:Teaching experience in higher educationTeaching experience at a two-year collegeExperience in public speakingIntermediate experience using Microsoft Office SuiteExperienced in Blackboard Learning ManagementSupplemental InformationPhysical Requirements:Duties may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment or materials up to 25 pounds.
