The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.Respond to critical emergencies and other calls for service to protect life and property, prevent crime and enforce laws.Investigate all levels of crime to develop facts in a case to prove or disprove who is responsible for committing crimes.Formulate police reports based off evidence and facts established in a case and recommend criminal charges to attorneys when necessary.Develop and implement split second decisions utilizing trained tactics to control dangerous, unpredictable and hazardous situations.Collaborate with local, state and federal agencies, attorneys, judges and other first responders to prosecute crime.Communicate with community members from all walks of life, support community engagements and improve relationships between police and community.Deploy undercover/covert operations to gather intelligence and evidence gathering.Develop and administer department training plans from a vast array of topics from use of force, firearms, control devices, K9, SWAT etc.Assist other departments and employees as necessary.Continually show respect for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and interests.
