Job Description Construction Project EngineerArlington, VA | Full-TimeAbout the OpportunityWe are recruiting for a Construction Project Engineer to support active construction and infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors including federal, municipal, K-12 education, healthcare, transportation, water/wastewater, higher education, laboratory facilities, data centers, and marina projects.This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong construction management or engineering background who is looking to grow within project management while supporting field operations, project controls, QA/QC, inspections, documentation, and project closeout activities. Experience supporting K-12 projects is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport active construction projects through on-site representation and field coordinationAssist with project documentation, electronic file management, records clean-up, and closeout activitiesConduct inspections and support quality assurance / quality control effortsReview construction plans and research project recordsSupport facility sustainment, restoration, and modernization projectsAssist Project Managers with small to mid-size construction projectsHelp identify project issues and assist in developing practical solutionsMonitor schedules and communicate project updates with owners, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholdersSupport project controls, scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting, contract administration, constructibility reviews, inspections, and closeout processesQualifications3+ years of combined education and/or relevant construction experienceBachelor's degree in Engineering requiredEIT or CMIT certification preferredProgression toward PE, CCM, CCE, or PSP certifications preferredKnowledge of construction management, project controls, scheduling, estimating, documentation, and contract administrationUnderstanding of applicable building codes, laws, and construction regulationsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required within 3 months of hireProficiency with Microsoft OfficeExperience with CADD, BIM platforms, Revit, Navisworks, or Autodesk 360 is a plusAbility to work on active construction sites, climb ladders, work outdoors, and navigate uneven terrain safelyPreferred Industry ExperienceExperience supporting projects in one or more of the following sectors is highly valued:Federal ConstructionK-12 EducationHealthcareTransportationWater/WastewaterHigher EducationData CentersLaboratory FacilitiesMunicipal InfrastructureApply today to learn more about this opportunity.
