Sr. Quality Engineer
Job Description
CSAT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. This role will focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of laptops, main logic boards (MLB), and LCD assemblies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about continuous improvement in a high-paced technical environment.Role and ResponsibilitiesDevelop, apply and maintain quality requirements of products during process design through productionPerforms statistical analysis of processes, through the use of trend charts, control charts, Pareto diagrams, and fish bone diagrams for application in continuous improvement effortsPerforms reject analysis and reject verification to provide feedback to Operations and Engineering for the purpose of process improvementProvides special testing, process capability studies, repeatability studies and equipment correlations as requiredPrepares instructions and procedures for use by cross-functional teams in inspecting products for mechanical and aesthetic criteria, and for use in trainingWorks on New Product Project teams to provide for smooth transition of New Products into the regular manufacturing processConsults with cross-functional teams to initiate product improvementsImplements and facilitates of continuous improvement activities in all areas o the businessRecommends process and/or design improvements including: developing and maintaining new failure analysis methods, corrective actions suggestions, material and component analysis and suggestions of changeManage multiple projects at once; plan, arrange, organize and projects, and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders.Leverage industry trends to proactively identify issues and opportunities to implement improvementsCross train across business units in quality standards and methodologiesMentor engineers and others in quality methodologiesResponsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their departmentOther duties as assignedSkills, Education and TrainingBachelor's Degree in related field required5 or more years of demonstrated success in a similar position;Proficient English abilities requiredEmail and written messaging with intermediate Excel knowledgeWorking knowledge of statistical process control and experimental design conceptsExcellent knowledge of tools and methods related to inspection and analysis (prefer computer environment)Proven experience in successful problem solvingExcellent time-management skillsPreferred certifications: Certified six sigma black belt, CQEPreferred training and certifications: IPC-610, IPC7711/7721Working Conditions and Essential Abilities & FunctionsPosition is based at CSAT Solutions' Houston facility.Requires standing, walking, and working in a production/repair environment for extended periods.Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.Regular exposure to electronic components, ESD-protected areas, and repair tools.Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional overtime as required by business needs.BenefitsWe value the well-being of our employees and their families.
