Technical Engineer 1
Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION A Technical Engineer 1 works in a team environment and is responsible for customer incident resolution. This includes problem analysis and correction, data correction, creation, testing, and implementation of custom extracts, creation of TFS Bug incidents and creation of Knowledge Base Articles.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesIdentifying application behavior where it differs from design specificationsUtilize and maintain a knowledge base of issue resolutionsTriage work routed to the Tier-3 TeamAnswer questions regarding the triaged workKeep the team aware of problem trends through analysis and reportingReproduce and troubleshoot issuesResolve customer issues through data correctionsEffectively work with both internal groups and external customersAct as a technical support buffer for the development teamsAdditional responsibilities as assignedQualification GuidelinesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business preferred. Equivalent experience also considered.Familiarity with C#, Java or similar procedural or object oriented programmingProficiency with T-SQL querying/programming requiredFamiliarity with SSRS a plusEagerness for learningProficient at analyzing dataProblem solving capabilities a mustTeamwork and ability to work effectively with others a mustSoftware development fundamentalsUnderstanding of software development processes; knowledge of Agile a plusAbility to work with moderate supervisionPractical experience with Service Desk softwareAbility and willingness to research functionality and design considerationsHealthcare software experience is a plus3.0 GPA or above preferred0 to 2 years experienceOn-Going Training Courses Required To Be In The RoleC#, Java and advanced SQL - Technical training available through online resources and / or booksHCHB requires all applicants to be US citizens or have a green card allowing them to work in the US without being subject to export control restrictions.
