Human Resources Manager
Description:
Seeking to hire a Human Resources Manager who has a strong transportation industry knowledge. This position oversees employee performance and administrates company payroll and benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage Paycom/Paylocity (HRIS)
Process payroll and benefits
Manage the recruitment process including job posts, interviews, hiring and onboarding.
Perform background checks
Maintain employee profiles and records
Process employee profile changes
Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
Ensure the organization is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
Enforce Company Rules and Policies and ensure that they are applied consistently
Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
In charge of driver pre-employment requirements
Conduct employee evaluations
Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
Process employee warnings
Process Terminations
Report Child Support on Attorney General
Maintain Benefits Eligibility and Administrate Affordable Care Act
Conduct employee I-9 Verifications
Issue Employee ID’s
Send COBRA Notices
Add/Remove Equipment on Auto Insurance
Keep Insurance Binders Current
Process W2’s
Approve Timecards
Annual Employee Awards
Process Workers Compensation Claims
Process vacations and sick leave requests
Process Unemployment requests
Report absences
Process loans
Create job descriptions and assign functions and responsibilities to employees
Provide training and professional development opportunities for employees
Conducts meetings to review and update SOP's to create structure within the company
Other duties may be assigned
Competencies:
Leadership- This individual must have excellent leadership and manage difficult situations while responding promptly and respectfully. We are looking for someone with great character.
Industry Knowledge- Must have strong business background. Transportation background preferred.
Language: Must be able to read and write English and Spanish.
Planning/Organizing- This Individual must have a daily agenda according to priorities and have a plan for work activities in order to be efficient.
Dependability- This individual must be able to show up to work ready, prepared, and on time every day to work. They must be able to follow instructions and be trustworthy to assure confidentiality.
Microsoft Office/Paycom- This individual must have basic skills in Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Paycom/Paylocity software is preferred but not required.
Education- This individual must have a college degree or at least 3 years' experience in a related field. HR Certification preferred (SHRM/HRCI).
