Staff Accountant and Office Administrator
Job Summary:The Part-Time Staff Accountant / Office Administrator supports daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role also provides support for basic HR functions and general office administration.This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and reliable professional seeking a flexible work schedule within a small company environment. The role will begin as part-time, with the potential to transition to full-time based on workload, business needs, and performance. The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing multiple hats and supporting both accounting and administrative functions.Duties/Responsibilities:· Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.· Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.· Assist with customer invoicing, cash application, and collections tracking.· Support month-end close activities.· Assist with preparation of audit documentation.· Maintain organized and accurate financial records.· Assist with payroll processing and maintain payroll records.· Support employee onboarding documentation and maintain employee files.· Coordinate with third-party providers (payroll, benefits, etc.)· Assist with annual benefits open enrollment.· Support 401(k) enrollment and employee changes.· Provide general administrative support.· Maintain organized records and filing systems.· Assist with scheduling and office coordination.· Support day-to-day office operations.· Perform other accounting, HR, or administrative tasks as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:· Basic understanding of accounting principles.· 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.· Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.· Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.· Good communication skills and professional demeanor.· Ability to maintain confidentiality.Education and Experience:· Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.· Experience in manufacturing or small business environment is a plus.Schedule· Part-time, approximately 25-30 hours per week.· Flexible schedule within standard business hours (Monday-Friday).Growth OpportunityThis position has the potential to transition to a full-time role based on workload, business needs, and individual performance.
