Payroll and Accounts Payable Supervisor
DescriptionCharlie Gilmur with Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director to join our team in the non-profit sector located in Portland, Oregon. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing payroll and accounts payable processing, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and contributing to the efficient operation of our finance department.Responsibilities Provide leadership and coordination of accounts payable, general ledger reconciliation, and payroll functions. Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll processing and tax withholding. Partner with payroll system representatives to ensure accurate and timely filing of all appropriate payroll and tax filings. Continuously assess and enhance accounts payable and payroll processes, implementing best practices to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Supervise the accounts payable team and payroll team. Oversee payroll and accounts payable month-end revenue and expense accruals. Coordinate the preparation of audit schedules related to the accounts payable and payroll functions for external audits. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate processing of payroll-related transactions, such as new hires, terminations, and benefit deductions. Support the Controller with the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the accounts payable and payroll functions department.Please contact Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half to review this position.
