IT Support Specialist l No Sponsorship Available Job OverviewCompensation: $75,000 - $90,000Office Location: Chicago, ILBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTOThe IT Support Specialist plays a hands-on role in resolving technical issues, managing service requests, and partnering with internal technology teams and third-party providers to deliver consistent, high-quality IT support.IT Support SpecialistKey ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted technology partner by managing complex support requests from initial intake through resolution, with a strong focus on customer satisfactionDevelop strong working relationships with employees to understand how technology enables business and project executionTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to end-user hardware, operating systems, enterprise software, and network accessLog, prioritize, and manage incidents and service requests within the IT service management (ITSM) system in accordance with defined service levelsEscalate issues to specialized IT teams as needed while maintaining ownership and communication through closureSupport the full device lifecycle, including setup, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laptops, mobile devices, and peripheralsAssist with user access administration, onboarding, and offboarding in coordination with HR and business stakeholdersCreate, maintain, and improve technical documentation, knowledge articles, and standard proceduresPartner with infrastructure, security, and application teams on system upgrades and new technology deploymentsMonitor ticket volume, response times, and service performance to ensure timely issue resolutionProvide elevated support for business-critical and construction-related applicationsParticipate in IT initiatives and projects, contributing to planning, coordination, testing, and rollout activitiesTake ownership of defined workstreams within larger technology programsCoordinate issue resolution efforts involving both internal teams and external vendors IT Support Specialist QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, service desk, or IT operations rolesStrong technical troubleshooting skills across Windows environments, Microsoft 365, endpoint devices, and enterprise applicationsHands-on experience working with IT ticketing or service management platformsClear and professional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiencesProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environmentExperience supporting geographically distributed teams or project-based environments is preferredBackground supporting business-critical systems in a production settingBuild a rewarding long-term career with us at CFS-when we knock, doors open.Timing is everything.
