Henry Ford Atherton Road is looking for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join their well-established practice in Flint, Michigan.ResponsibilitiesEvaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skillsCoordinates discharge planning with case managementRecommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patientsAccepts patient referrals from other physiciansActs as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospitalParticipates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requestedProvides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely mannerParticipates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedulesQualifications Completion of an accredited Family Medicine program and board certified/eligible Family Medicine Willingness to be flexible and work well as an integral member of the health care team 1-2 years of recent and relevant experience as a primary care physician preferred, but willing to consider and help mentor a new Family Medicine graduate#prAdditional InformationOrganization: Henry Ford Genesys Ambulatory Health ServicesDepartment: HFGAHS Atherton RdHenry Ford Health Location: Ascension Medical Group MI Shift: Day JobUnion Code: Not Applicable
