The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and code-compliant solar electrical work on residential projects. The majority of our jobs at this moment are in the east/southeast parts of Iowa.Accepting reciprocal licenses from: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, wire, and commission solar PV systems (roof and ground-mounted)Troubleshoot and repair solar electrical systemsInterpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and system schematicsEnsure compliance with NEC and local codesTest systems for performance and safetyCollaborate with installation crews and project managersMaintain accurate records of work performedProvide excellent customer service when on-siteRequirementsMUST have a journeyman electrician license in the state of Iowa or reciprocal stateIf not located in Iowa, must be willing to travel for 2 weeks at a timeProven experience with solar PV systems (2+ years preferred)Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocolsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentComfortable working on rooftops and laddersValid driver’s license and clean driving recordPreferred Qualifications (Not Required)NABCEP certificationExperience with battery storage systemsOSHA 10/30 certificationWhat We ProvideHealth Insurance offeredCompany Truck for work-related travelGas Cards for fuel expensesWear and Tear (Consumables) Tools providedCompetitive compensation and opportunities for growthSupportive team environment focused on safety and qualityLegal DisclaimerSpartanX is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values workplace diversity.
