Network Engineer - Senior (TS required, eligible for SCI)

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: TS, WITH SCI ELIGIBILITYPOSITION REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP*** Position Title: Network Engineer - Senior Location: Peterson, SFB (on-site)Position Description:Under general direction, the Senior Network Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of enterprise network communications and infrastructure environments, including LAN/WAN systems, virtualization platforms, cloud integrations, and disaster recovery solutions. This role evaluates existing systems, develops scalable architecture solutions, and leads complex technical projects requiring advanced analysis and problem-solving. The incumbent serves as a technical leader, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise IT systems.Performance shall include:Designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systemApplying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investmentsDesigning, implementing and managing high availability/clustering and disaster recovery environmentSupporting establishment of plans and templates in line with the overall technical architecture format and program infrastructure platformCompleting technical documentation to design, test, implement, train, and transition solutions to operational supportTroubleshooting and deep dive into VMware infrastructure. Other application experience is helpful: Exchange Server, Active Directory, Azure, VPN, and other relevant IT related technologiesMonitoring, administer, and maintain vCenter modules and configurationsSupporting implementation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of VMware components to include vCenter Server, ESXi Hosts, Standard/Distributed vSwitches, vSphere Data Protection, Operations Manager, etcDesigning, implementing, and maintaining a hybrid cloud integrate with multiple public cloud service providersResearching/assisting in development, and/or participating in hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of large enterprise applications.
