Description Job Title:Electrical Construction TechnicianJob Classification:Hourly Non-ExemptDepartment:Electrical Maintenance Reports To:Electrical Construction ManagerStatus: Full-Time; On-Site SUMMARY The primary purpose of an Electrical Construction Technician is to install, service, and repair electrical systems that play an important role in the everyday operation of our rides, food stands, games, and shops park wide. This is a year-round position, reporting to the Electrical Construction Manager. Hours of operation for the summer are currently Sunday through Tuesday 12pm to 8pm and Wednesday through Saturday 12pm to 9pm. Shifts for this position may start before operational hours or end after operational hours with evening and weekend hours required. RESPONSIBILITIESInstallation of electrical equipment, such as wiring, breaker boxes, switches in both indoor and outdoor environment per NEC codeInvestigate problems, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipmentPerform cleaning duties at workstation to maintain a clean safe work area EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEAn 18-month Electrical Certificate program preferredExperience with VFD (ABB) preferredExperience with electrical controls preferredThorough knowledge and understanding of single and 3 phase secondary electrical systemsThorough analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read electrical schematics, plans, and manualsThorough understanding or willingness to learn Fiber Optics installation, splicing, preparation, and testingThorough knowledge and abilities in basic carpentry and constructionValid driver's license KEY COMPETENCIESCandidate should possess strong communication skills, oral and written, high degree of integrity, ability to work cross functionally, positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to solve problemsCandidate should have the ability to build strong relationships with guests, provide a high level of guest service, and be an effective member of a teamHigh integrity and maintains the highest level of confidentialityProven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize, and meet deadlinesExcellent organizational skills with attention to details and accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning new subjects, systems, and technologiesProven leadership skills and ability to take lead on new initiatives and special projectsStrong customer service skills, both internal and externalExperience in working cross functionally with all levels of managementMaintain a positive attitudeAbility to interact with industry professionals, management and team members with great poise and professionalism This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of this job.
