There’s Always a Seat at Our Bar The Lagunitas Brewing Company began on a kitchen stove in Northern California in 1993 and has always looked to the future – whether supporting local communities by turning beer into money for the cause, or fueling stories, songs, and experiences with our IPA. Wherever you go: Beer Speaks, People Mumble.The GistLagunitas Brewing Company is looking for a hands-on, creative, and resourceful intern to lead a summer project focused on improving the look, feel, and experience of our office spaces and consumer-facing environments (taproom, garden, brewery surroundings).This role is not about theoretical design work, it is about observing real spaces, identifying improvement opportunities, proposing and implementing practical changes that enhance both employee experience and visitor experience.You will lead a structured project including assessment, concept development and implementation roadmap, working directly with internal key stakeholders and mentored by company CEO.Who We’re Lookin’ For Must be currently enrolled, or recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a vocational program, college, community college, or universityMust have a cumulative GPA over 3.0Must be at least 21 years of ageMust be available for full duration of the internship:4 months (June 23 – October 23)20 hours/ weekHybrid What You’ll DoRevamp existing Lagunitas spaces by:Enhancing cleanliness perception, visual appeal, and overall atmosphere Optimizing available assets (furniture, screens, layout, etc.) Tailoring improvements to two distinct audiences: Employees (office spaces) Visitors and consumers (taproom, outdoor areas) Success will be defined by:Completion of structured project Quality and practicality of recommendations Implementation of easy enhancementsAlignment with Lagunitas brand and culture Project Scope & Key Deliverables Assessment of Current State including stakeholder inputConduct on-site observation of office spaces and taproom/outdoor environments Document layout issues, cleanliness gaps, clutter, and flow opportunities Conduct brief sessions with CEO, admin team, taproom lead, and employee sample Identify pain points and expectations Concept DevelopmentDefine experience direction for office and taproom Prioritize low-cost or no-cost improvements using existing assets Implementation RoadmapBuild prioritized action plan with timeline and dependencies Present proposals with rational and expected impact Support implementation overview Lead implementation of easy / practical improvements- Documentation of future opportunities and estimated investmentAvailable Support & BudgetApprox. $15K budget for improvements (after approval by project supervisor).
