Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy between bank statements and internal records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Record journal entries, including debits & credits, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial summaries for management review.
Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting in financial planning efforts.
Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and maintain proper documentation for audits.
Handle account reconciliation tasks diligently to uphold data integrity across all financial records.
Qualifications
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken; familiarity with multiple platforms is a plus.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards.
Knowledge of GAAP guidelines, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting concepts.
Experience with bank reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation tasks including accounts payable/receivable management and account analysis.
Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry and accuracy in record keeping.
Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience related to payroll taxes, and financial report writing skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as budgeting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting simultaneously.
