We are seeking an Executive Chef who will uphold these standards while bringing leadership, creativity, and operational excellence to our kitchen.Position PurposeThe Executive Chef is responsible for the overall leadership and success of the kitchen. This role oversees culinary operations, menu development, financial performance, and team leadership, ensuring every dish reflects Cipriani’s standards of excellence, consistency, and presentation.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong presence in daily operations, a commitment to quality, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing culinary team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Culinary LeadershipDesign and develop menus in alignment with Cipriani culinary standardsEnsure consistency, freshness, quality, and presentation of all dishesLead seasonal menu updates and specialty offeringsOversee plate presentation and final food qualityKitchen OperationsDirect daily kitchen workflow and coordinate cooks’ tasksEnsure smooth, timely execution of service across all meal periodsOversee food production for restaurant service, private events, and special functionsMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environmentFood Safety & SanitationEnforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standardsEnsure compliance with all local health department regulationsMaintain equipment cleanliness and operational safetyFinancial & Administrative ManagementManage kitchen budgets, food cost, and labor cost targetsOversee purchasing, inventory control, and waste managementMonitor cost efficiency while maintaining product qualityManage vendor and supplier relationshipsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentHire, train, and mentor culinary team membersSet and maintain high performance and professionalism standardsFoster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvementSupport career growth and skill development within the teamGuest ExperiencePartner with front-of-house leadership to ensure seamless guest experiencesAddress and resolve guest feedback related to food quality in a professional mannerKNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Experience & Education5+ years of experience in a senior culinary leadership roleFormal culinary training preferredStrong background in high-volume or luxury hospitality environmentsTechnical KnowledgeExpertise in BOH systems, ordering, and inventory managementStrong understanding of food cost control and kitchen financial performanceKnowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team development abilitiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with a passion for quality and consistencyPHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION: Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods, particularly during client meetings, presentations, and networking events. Lift and carry promotional materials, sales collateral, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds, as needed for presentations and demonstrations. Visual acuity and depth perception to read and interpret documents, analyze data, and navigate sales materials effectively. Ability to adapt to various work environments, including office settings, client sites, and remote locations, while maintaining focus and productivity. Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate client schedules and business demands.
