What success looks like in this role: Relocation Required - Please Read FirstThis role is based onsite in Childress, TX.We are specifically seeking experienced data center engineers who are open to relocation for a long-term opportunity supporting a new, large-scale AI data center build for Dell.Relocation assistance providedSenior-level experience strongly preferredLocal candidates welcome, but this role is relocation-firstAbout the RoleUnisys is seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer (OSE) to support enterprise data center and server environments, including next-generation AI platforms. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on maintaining uptime, resolving complex hardware issues, and helping establish operational standards at a newly built data center site.Important: Senior engineers are required first to support site stand-up, stability, and mentorship. Engineers hired in this phase will play a foundational role in long-term operations.Prior AI experience is not required-strong data center and server fundamentals are what matter most.What You'll DoProvide onsite support for Dell server and data center systems, ensuring rapid issue resolution and minimal downtimePerform hardware maintenance including server builds, swaps, component replacements, and firmware updatesTroubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, and operating systemsSupport reactive and preventive maintenance following established proceduresPartner with customers and internal teams during service eventsDocument work performed and contribute to shared knowledgeParticipate in on-call rotations and extended coverage as requiredWhat You BringExperience supporting servers or data center hardware in enterprise or customer-facing environmentsHands-on expertise with server components (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, full server swaps)Ability to work independently onsite in a production data centerStrong troubleshooting and customer communication skillsWillingness to support emerging technologies, including AI platformsOpenness to relocation to Childress, TX (required)You will be successful in this role if you have:Qualifications3+ years of experience in data center, field service, or enterprise hardware support rolesNew build, expansion, or site stand-up experience strongly preferredAssociate or Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experienceDell or other OEM certifications a plus (not required)***Due to potential government contract requirements, this position is limited to US Citizens or US Permanent Resident#LI-AC1This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology.
