Weitz & Luxenberg is currently seeking an experienced Asbestos Attorney to handle asbestos trials and litigation matters in our Cherry Hill, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of litigation experience, including significant trial experience and a strong background in plaintiffs’ personal injury law.ResponsibilitiesHandle asbestos litigation matters.Manage a caseload from initiation through resolution, including investigation, client depositions; deposing other witnesses as needed, opposing motions for summary judgements and preparation for trial as neededConduct thorough investigations and case development;Draft and argue motions and other substantive legal filings;Represent clients with professionalism, empathy, and dedication throughout the litigation processCollaborate with colleagues to develop effective trial strategies and contribute to a positive, team-oriented cultureGuide asbestos victims through the deposition and trial processRequirementsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school;Admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey;8–10 years of litigation experienceSubstantial trial experience as first chairDemonstrated experience in plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation, preferably asbestos-related mattersDynamic trial skills with a proven ability to take verdictsExceptional writing, research, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple cases simultaneously while accommodating clients’ medical treatment schedulesStrong sense of empathy and ability to effectively support asbestos victims throughout litigation.The annual salary range for the position is $140,000-$200,000. The referenced salary range is based on the Firm's good faith belief at the time of posting.
