Manager, Cyber Security
Overview
In this role you drive cybersecurity governance and RMF coordination for a complex federal program. You partner with engineering, product delivery, and operations to ensure compliance across systems and cloud services while guiding risk management and remediation. You’ll develop assessment artifacts and support PoA&M, contingency planning, and incident response coordination. This position offers meaningful impact by shaping security governance for critical government work and aligning security activities with program goals. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable guidance and maintain evidence-driven compliance.
ResponsibilitiesLead cybersecurity governance and RMF coordination across a federal technology services environmentDevelop and maintain cybersecurity assessment artifacts (FIPS 199 analyses, E-Authentication Risk Assessments, security control statements) and supporting evidenceSupport teams and stakeholders in preparing and maintaining cybersecurity evidence and compliance documentationEvaluate cybersecurity risks for new capabilities (applications, integrations, tools, platform changes)Track security deficiencies, remediation, and Plans of Action and Milestones to closureLead or support contingency planning and testing for systems and services within the programCreate and maintain cybersecurity SOPs, workflows, templates, and reporting mechanismsCoordinate cybersecurity inputs into engineering, product delivery, DevSecOps, cloud, data, and service operationsSupport vulnerability management, incident response coordination, risk reviews, and evidence collectionPartner with operations, identity, network, platform, and application teams to clarify cybersecurity responsibilities and evidence maintenanceMonitor risks, issues, dependencies, and compliance gaps; escalate as neededTranslate cybersecurity requirements and risks into practical guidance for technical teams and stakeholders
Key requirementsBachelor’s DegreeU.S. Citizenship required for federal contractAbility to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance10+ years' experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, governance, risk management, compliance, or RMF in federal or regulated environmentsActive CISSP, CISM, CAP, Security+ or equivalentsstrong collaboration across cross-functional teamsclear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersrisk-based decision makingRMF coordinationNIST 800-53 alignmentFISMA and FedRAMP experience
