The Goals Of ABA AreReducing challenging behaviorsIncreasing socially significant behaviorsDeveloping or improving activities of daily living (ADLs)What does a Behavior Therapist do?The Behavior Therapist Will Provide In-home One-to-one Support For Children & Adolescents With Autism, Or Other Developmental Disabilities. After Our Intensive In-house Training And Under The Support Of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), You Will Have The Tools And Support Necessary To Implement Programs, Collect Reliable Data, And Work With Your Supervisor To Execute a Plan Specifically Tailored To Each Child Or Adolescent. As a Trained ABA Behavior Therapist, You WillExecute 1:1 behavior plans for children & adolescents with autism in their homes.Provide the client's families with parent training to expand the client's advancement opportunities.Receive ongoing support and supervision in the field from BCBA level staff.Work a part-time schedule based on the availability of the client and their families.Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with the client and their families.What will this opportunity offer you?Competitive compensation starts at $19/hour.Structured virtual live interactive training starting on Day 1.Mileage reimbursement (this is a community-based position requiring travel to client's homes).Benefits available to those who qualify including medical dental, vision, and 401K.Paid time off including sick leave.What are the requirements?Must be willing and able to commit to completing a 40-hour online Registered Behavior Technician course. We will pay for the course and your exam but the course must be completed on your own time prior to starting.Must have a valid TX driver's license and reliable transportation.Must be able to pass an FBI/ DOJ clearance and background check.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have a high School Diploma or equivalent.Must have a desire to work with young children with behavioral challenges.Must have experience with and must be comfortable playing with children.Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Must have desire for continued learning opportunities and a willingness to embrace instruction and feedbackEducational or work experience in any of the following areas is a plus: babysitting, childcare, elementary education, teaching, classroom aid, paraprofessional, special education, early intervention, daycare, preschool, head start, camp counselor, teacher, pediatric healthcare professional, etc.Bilingual applicants highly preferredWhat else should you know? The location listed in this posting is a general area. All of our services are provided in clients homes. You will be matched with the client whose schedule and location best align with your own.
