You always exhibit integrity in everything you do - you’re the same when others are watching and when they aren’t, and you can confidently handle confidential information.Hours:Full Time: M-F; 40 hours Location:Our office, where you'll be greeted by our friendly office dog!5842 Fayetteville Road, Suite 113Durham, North Carolina 27713Duties Include:Answering phones and greeting clientsPerforming intake interviews with potential clients to determine if our firm is the right fit for the caller's needsScheduling client appointmentsOrganizing case filesHelping with client billingPreparing a first draft of legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documentsPreparing estate administration paperwork and guardianship paperwork to be filed with the courtSending out required noticesNotarizing documentsKeeping track of deadlinesProofreading legal documents and correspondenceE-filing court documentsE-recording deedsRegistering attorneys for CLEMaking travel arrangements for attorneysManaging exhibit tables at events the firm sponsorsYou will be the main point of contact for clients and must be able to communicate effectively and speak compassionately to clients and potential clients who may be experiencing a recent loss or disability. Proofreading skills, organization, and close attention to detail are essential to this role.Qualifications:Strong Communication skills and ability to interact professionally and compassionately with clientsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and proofreading skillsThough not required, prior experience in estate planning, probate, guardianship, elder law, or special needs planning is a plusBachelor’s degree or relevant certification or experienceMust be a notary or willing to obtain notary license paid for by the firmExperience with any of the following is a plus: Clio Grow, Clio Manage, E-Recording, E-Filing, Calendly, Drafting softwareCompensation and Benefits:$45,000-$65,000, dependent on experience401(k)Profit Sharing PlanPaid time offMedical
